What’s It About?
MARBLE MIXER FOR IPAD is a "huddle around" game for one to four players. Set up your players by tapping each corner to activate their positions. Then start shooting marbles! You can choose from three marble-shooting games: Table Tactiles looks like a fancy marble board; players shoot a marble, trying to land in a scoring section while staying out of the middle hole. They get points for knocking another player's marble into the hole as well as points for their marbles on the board at the end of play. Space Mania has an arcade-style vibe, and the play and scoring are similar to Table Tactiles except players shoot unlimited marbles for 60 seconds. In Monster Picnic, the object is to feed a monster as many marbles as possible in one minute. Directions and tips are included in the "help" section. Options include playing in-app music or choosing music from the device's playlist and selecting sound effects.
Is It Any Good?
Set-up is super easy, whether for one player or four, so Marble Mixer for iPad is a great choice for family time. It's easy enough for preschoolers to play -- just tap to roll the marble. But its classic appeal means it's still exciting enough for parents and big kids to enjoy, too. Monster Picnic may be more fun for a younger crowd, while Table Tactiles may fit the more mature players better, but they're all really fun. The beauty of gathering around an app for family game time is there's no board to set up or break down, and you don't have to worry about storing anything. Marble Mixer for iPad is fast, easy, wholesome fun for the whole family.
