Great app!

My daughter loves the app! Her vocabulary grew a lot and she hasn't even noticed, she just enjoys playing with her favourite characters

Beware

I wouldn't say I liked how this company's 7-day trial worked. I immediately knew this app was not for my child and sent two messages to them through the app. They charged me anyway! It was a nightmare straightening out my Apple, bank, and PayPal accounts.

Is It Any Good?

There's lots of fun, kid-friendly material in this large collection of videos and activities. The developer's vision is to present learning material through play. They certainly succeed in their goal of playfulness. For example, videos featuring silly skits, classic songs, lessons in citizenship -- and much more -- are nicely produced and will definitely appeal to young kids. The games and interactive activities are a bit more of a mixed bag. Some are creative, whereas others are average, uninspired, or even downright confusing. This makes the potential for learning a little questionable at times. But overall, there's a lot here -- and much of it is of good enough quality. The main drawback to Lingokids - Play and Learn is that it offers a seemingly endless amount of content but no guidance to help kids navigate the massive menu of videos and activities. Something like a structured learning path or the ability for parents to choose to focus on particular activities might help kids who feel lost or overwhelmed. Another big downside is the high subscription price; parents will definitely want to take advantage of the seven-day free trial before deciding whether the cost is worth it for their family.
