This is a great app but parents please make sure you trust your kids on what they can and can not read. And check what they have ever like week or so.

A great app! Sadly, not many people read physical books anymore, but at least you can read on here. I love it!

It really depends on how much you trust your child and what you are ok with them possibly seeing. I love Libby for myself and would recommend the app to all of my friends but there are a few things to be careful for. Kids will have access to borrow everything in the library's collection including sexual material like romances, erotica, and in some libraries , pornographic material like playboy. Although these materials may be available if your child tries looking for them in my opine the benefits vastly out way the bad. The app ( at the time it was overdrive ) created a lifetime love of reading for me and gave me so much more to do then just playing on my PC. You can see your the borrow history as well as the search history but any kid with a bit of experience can disable these but then you know they have something to hide. The other thing is it's kinda addicting for book worms, I always had some audio book in my ear and that was sometimes frustrating to others. So It kinda depends on if you're ok with that possibility, or if you can trust your kid to just look in their section. You can also just get the books for them if you wish.

I use this all the time because in the pandemic I can’t go to the library so this helps. Of course I prefer physical books, but this is a great stand in for now. You can listen to audio books and I listen to them while doing my chores to make them bearable. It’s a great app and if you are concerned that your child will come across a topic you are not comfortable with them hearing/seeing, I don’t think this app is any different from the actual library or even the school library. Besides, they would only check out books they liked! This app works like all other books. The same amount of exposure as anything!

this is my favorite app i use it all the time it is COMPLETELY FREE
