Superimposing their faces onto simple, attractive drawings and watching silliness ensue is sure to produce some giggles. With just over 50 drawings, there's a good-size collection of scenarios for kids to experiment with. Some short animations provide a nice touch of surprise and magic while others are just plain for laughs, like when the cowboy and rocking horse switch places and the horse becomes the rider. It's a nice touch to be able to take a video, though the video is simply a recording of the preset animation -- that is, kids don't have any control over the movement. And that's the main rub here: Kids have little creative control over their experience. Videos also didn't always show up on the camera roll. So, while CHOMP by Christoph Niemann is good for a round of pure silliness and good family fun, it's somewhat of a one-trick pony.
