SCAM ALERT!!

I have the same problem that every one else has: I was charged for a years subscription without my consent. Their “customer service “ is useless and runs you around in circles when you try to get a refund. The app is loaded with ads which continually interrupt. And the site doesn’t have an unsubscribe option, so good luck with all the expensive charges. This is a scam and a rip off.

What’s It About?

To use CALM, first download the app for the free trial period and create a user profile. Tap Meditate to view guided and unguided meditation options (check out Calm Kids to access the kid-centric options). Choose an individual session and tap Start Session to begin. In the Music section, you can choose instrumental music options, and in the Sleep section, you have access to the sleep stories. Tap the mountain icon in the top right to choose from more than 30 nature scenes with relaxing sounds. After you've used it for awhile, you can track your use and share your progress on social media.

This app provides ways to relax and focus for newbies, regular meditators, visual and auditory processors, preschoolers, teens, and adults. After subscribing to Calm, explore the many options so you're familiar with what's available before the stressful moment, sleepless night, or challenging homework session comes upon you or your kid. Track daily streaks and total minutes meditated, share goals with friends on social media, and connect with Apple Health. Develop the habit of tapping into Calm daily and encouraging your teen or kid to do the same, and the hefty subscription price ($12.99/month or $59.99/year) may pay off with greater serenity and focus.

Talk to Your Kids About ...

  • Families can talk about how to choose the best meditation for your or your kid's current mood or need. From a focus meditation to a relaxing sleep story, Calm has guided support for many feelings and situations.

  • Developing a consistent meditation practice can be useful for stress management. Talk about how to use Calm's daily streaks and total minutes meditated trackers for motivation. How does meditation help when you feel stressed? Is it fun to track your progress?

  • If kids have difficulty falling asleep, encourage them to choose and listen to a Calm sleep story. Do the stories help you fall asleep? What else helps you get to sleep at night?
