These programs will be offered virtually, led by a museum educator, and will offer students and teachers educational experiences that help students to understand the Civil Rights Movement and the 400-year Black Freedom Struggle. These interactive programs are offered year-round and are scheduled based on Educator’s availability. Programs are geared for school/youth audiences and are designed to serve teachers and students in grades PreK-12. Programs range from 45-90 mins and can serve anywhere from 50-1000 students. Programs are free of charge to all schools.

Virtual education programs for schools will courageously teach civil rights history and actively engage students and teachers in dialogue about social justice issues today. These programs aim to share the Museum’s exhibits and resources and convey the Museum’s interpretive themes in the museum, in ways that are both age-appropriate and align with common core standards.

Through these programs, we will help students understand the relevance of civil rights history and inspire students to become catalysts for positive social change.

NOTE: Each program is designed to be live and interactive.  Recording of any museum education programs or virtual events by the participant, affiliate, or third party is prohibited without authorization and express permission from the National Civil Rights Museum.
