A great event to walk off the Christmas celebrations and to kick-start your New Year fitness regime! There are full marathon, half marathon and 10k options, both starting and finishing at The Oval Cricket Ground on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January. Take in highlights of the Thames, its historic bridges and many of the capital’s key landmarks. Families are welcome. There’s a free winter bobble hat and neck buff, rest stops with snacks, with a special medal and hot food at the finish. Get the ‘Ultra Challenge’ support and hospitality all the way, helping you to push yourself further and achieve something really special!

How far is the trek?

This depends on the distance you choose, options are 5km, 10km, half marathon and full marathon.

How can I take part in the Walk?

Whether it’s on your bucket list or you just fancy an amazing experience, taking on the Winter Walk isn’t something you do every day!

When you take on a trek with us, we’ll support you with plenty of tips and advice about everything you’ll need to prepare for the day.

Why should I take part in the Walk for Cats Protection?

We rely solely on your generosity and kindness to enable us to go on caring for abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens. Taking part in the London Winter Walk for Cats Protection is a fantastic way to challenge yourself, get fit, clear your mind, take in some mind-blowing views and raise vital funds to help cats in need.

Tempted? All you need to do is complete the Ultra Challenge registration form. There are three options to take part for Cats Protection: Own place charity fundraising, full charity sponsorship or mixed charity sponsorship.

How do I sign up for the walk?

As Cats Protection is an official partner on this event, you get a 25% discount on the ‘Full Sponsorship’ registration fee when signing up to support us.

On the sign-up page you’ll see there are a few different sign-up options. Please choose one of the below options when you’re signing up:

Full charity sponsorship. Sign up for £7.50 and commit to fundraising £100. You can choose Cats Protection as part of the sign-up process
Mixed funding. Sign up for £22.50 and commit to fundraising at least £70. You can choose Cats Protection as part of the sign-up process
Own place charity fundraising. Pay the full cost for your place (£39), raise what you can and try to exceed at least £100. You can choose Cats Protection as part of the sign-up process
