The Mini Cooper SE 2024 is an electric hatchback that's set to refresh the first electric Mini model in India. This updated hatchback borrows design cues from the 2024 ICE Cooper and adds in a few EV-specific design elements like a closed-off grille and aerodynamic wheels. Like the current-gen model, the 2024 Cooper SE will launch in India later this year as a fully-imported CBU.

The 2024 Mini Cooper SE has been officially teased again, which shows the exterior design changes to the existing model.

What is the expected price of the Mini Cooper SE?

It is expected to launch in India in 2025 and is likely to be priced from rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom).

What features will the Mini Cooper SE get?

It could retain most of its current features like adaptive LED lights, automatic climate control, a digital driver's display, heated front seats and wireless phone charging. In terms of safety, the current model gets front and passenger airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), drive assist and a rearview camera.

Apart from having all the above-mentioned features, the 2024 Mini Cooper can also get a larger infotainment system compared to the current 8.8-inch display, and a 360-degree camera.

The Mini Cooper SE will be offered with a 4-seater layout.

What engine and transmission options are available with the Cooper SE?

The current Mini Cooper electric comes with a 32.6kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that churns out 184PS and 270Nm. This setup allows the three-door electric hatch to have a driving range of up to 270km.

The 2024 Mini Cooper SE, however, is expected to offer a bigger battery pack and have its range bumped to over 350km.

The Mini Cooper SE has not been crash-tested by any NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme) agency. However, its safety suite is likely to include driver and passenger airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), driver assist features and a 360-degree camera.
