About:
2D Aquarium life simulation (Finite-State Machine diagram needed)
Player control:
- Left click - drop food at the cursor position.
- Right click - tap aquarium at the cursor position.
- UI buttons - spawn small fishes and change food type (both good and bad)
Big Fish
- wander around in aquarium and never leave (the screen)
- has hunger variable, initially full but drops over time
- - if not hungry, ignore food
- - if hungry, SEEK closest food IN RANGE. else wander
- - if starving, PURSUE closest food IN RANGE. else, pursue minor fish to eat, but only replenish a bit of hunger. Big Fish move speed x2 while in this state
- - if hunger meter <= 0 for more than 5sec, dead. Floats upwards before gone from game (GAME OVER).
- one bite to finish food (when the big fish touched the food, it will consume food)
- easily scared by tap
- if fish within tap range, FLEE for 1sec. unless dead
Small Fish
- FLOCK behavior (wander)
- avoid Big Fish (flee behavior)
- if it touches major creature, it will die (dead)
- if big fish died, small fishes would move to big fish to eat
Food (object)
- slowly drop to ground (not all foods though)
- food type: crumbs, spike, bait, worm
- dropped by player's click
- disappear after N seconds
Game over screen after major died. Button to restart
