Swedish Translation Editor for an app for English learners

English Learning Apps Ltd is seeking a native-speaker Swedish Translation Editor (EN > SV) for our upcoming app, Clearly English / Clearly English Pro. This features extensive vocabulary activities, grammar tutorials, an audio phrase book and a pronunciation studio, all with comprehensive help and translations. Together with uniquely interactive video content, it will be the next must-have app for learners of English, and thoughtful, human-edited translations are one of its strengths. You can learn more about the app and watch a demo video at [login to view URL]
Many design features are pedagogically innovative and promote extended usage, and even premium content is available in the free version through viewing rewarded ads, providing excellent potential for ongoing monetisation. While this project is for editing just the initial content set used for the launch version, the successful bidder will also be eligible for a long-term agreement by which they remain available to edit content for major updates in return for an ongoing share of global sales and advertising revenue for the lifetime of the app.
This project offers a nominal £50 fee for editing the initial content set. This requires significant input from editors, so we expect to work with those who, like us, recognise the potential of the app for substantial long-term revenue generation, and who are willing to invest some time and effort in the short term to help realise this potential. The project is not suitable for translators looking for payment on a per-word basis. At ELA Ltd, we're also excited to be providing a quality resource for the many highly-motivated learners of English worldwide who cannot afford to pay for apps.
To bid for this project, please briefly describe your relevant background and skills, and request an application pack. You'll then need to complete an 'application task' comprising two short sample sections for editing. All content has been translated with Google, but requires editing for accuracy and style, as well as some development in accordance with provided guidelines. The task is designed to allow a translator to decide if they want to join the project team as well as to demonstrate their proficiency. The application pack includes full information about the app content and the business model, as well as a sample agreement. Support is provided throughout the application process for the right candidates.
Translation Editors for 20 languages have joined our team already. If you'd like to be a part of this exciting venture, we'd love to hear from you.
