I have a press which make 4 parts at a time at a cycle speed of 8 cycles per minute. The part is made of graphite, so its a soft material. I need to project a machinery to machine the frontal part of this product on the required shape. The projected machine must have cycle time of maximum 1,5 seconds per part machined. The components used on the machine must stand minimum of 2,4 millions cycles. The product before machined will be delivered as shown on the file '300108014 APOS [login to view URL]'. The finished product, after being machine by the projected devide is attached on the file 'PRODUTO [login to view URL]'. Nowadays to machine such similar parts (manually) we use a diamond wheel fixed in a drilling machine. The image of this tooling is attached on the file '[login to view URL]'. A image of the machine that will deliver the unfinished part is attached on the image 'PRENSA E [login to view URL]'. Details will be delivered further in Solidworks files. The device to be projected may count with motor, step motor, servomotor, or such device, also with pneumatic atuators, sensors, and plc. The freelancer must project the device giving preference for standard devices of market. Must also make animation of the device, detailed drawing of the parts and list of materials.

Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer, industrial designer and, 3D modeler. For some of my projects, I'm also doing the physical prototype too. I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years of experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - the issue is not the tool you use (the diamond head) but the way the process is made... 2 - the best solution would be to have a turret which to accommodates the graphite collector shoes (it looks like collector shoes for dc motors), kept them firmly into position, and pass them through the cutting tool - other methods will damage quite a lot of the shoes... 3 - there is the problem of having the turret feeder manually or automatic...
