Gdańsk, Poland, July 4th, 2023 — Boeing has named Honorata Hencel as its new leader for Poland and Ukraine. Hencel brings twenty years of experience, including eight years at Boeing, to the position and most recently served as the company’s IT country leader for Europe, the United Kingdom, Israel and Ukraine.
“We are excited to have Honorata take on this important leadership role at a time of rapid growth of our operations in Poland and Ukraine”, said Dr. Michael Haidinger, President, Boeing Germany, Benelux, Central & Eastern Europe. “Honorata is a proven leader in business operations and in building an engaged, employee-focused culture.”
Hencel will continue the work started by Rafal Stepnowski, who sadly passed away in February. She will focus on growing Boeing’s local presence and strengthening relationships with government, industry, customer, and community leaders and other key stakeholders. She will continue to be based in Gdansk and report to Dr. Haidinger.
“This is a significant time for Boeing in the region and it is a great honor for me to take over this role. I will work hard to continue the legacy of Rafal and help take our organizations to new heights in Poland and Ukraine,” said Hencel.
Poland is one of Boeing’s fastest-growing employee bases in Europe with engineering, services and operations in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Rzeszów. In Ukraine, the Engineering & Technology Center in Kyiv supports the company's commercial and services businesses.
