The BLE supports the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in the development and implementation of the National Action Plan.

The BLE is responsible for the preparation of the forum on the National Action Plan, the organisation, management, and evaluation of expert talks, workshops and work groups as well as the discussion of questions relating to the National Action plan and reporting about the relevant activition on the national and European leven. Another important task is the maintenance of the Internet site on the National Action Plan.
