Yamaha Tenere 700

The Yamaha Tenere 700 is a capable dual-sport bike from the Japanese manufacturer. It can handle off-road just as easily as it can handle long highway tours. It is powered by a 689cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers a peak output of 73.4PS and 68Nm, linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It gets an optional quickshifter.

The ADV is equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It also has switchable ABS with three different modes. The bike features LED lights all around. 

The suspension setup on the Tenere 700 includes a fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork with 210mm wheel travel and, a monoshock with preload and rebound damping adjustability, and 200mm wheel travel. The bike comes to a stop using 282mm dual front disc brakes and a 245mm rear disc brake, with switchable ABS at both ends. Being an ADV it gets a 21-inch front wheel with a 90-section tyre and an 18-inch rear wheel with a 150-section tyre, both Pirelli Scorpion Rally STRs. 

The Yamaha Tenere 700 is likely to launch in India by March 2025 and is expected to cost around the Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. It will go against the other ADVs like the Honda XL750 Transalp, Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE Triumph Tiger 900 and the upcoming BMW F 900 GS.
