TVS has launched the Raider iGO variant in India. The TVS Raider 125 is now available in a total of six variants: Drum, Single Seat, Split Seat, iGO, SSE and SX.
What’s New?
The new iGO variant in the TVS Raider 125 gets an all-new Nardo Grey colour scheme along with red alloy wheels which makes the bike look quite sporty. A new feature which is exclusive to the iGO variant is the ‘Boost mode’. When activated, the Boost mode is said to deliver an additional 0.55Nm of torque, it goes up from 11.2Nm to 11.75Nm, to aid in quick overtakes. TVS also claims that with the iGO technology, the Raider’s fuel efficiency has improved by 10 percent. The iGO variant gets the same colour LCD console from the lower variants.
What’s Unchanged?
The bike remains physically unchanged and continues to get the 124.8cc air & oil-cooled engine which makes 11.38PS at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm at 6,000rpm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. TVS claims the Raider 125 will do the 0-60kmph sprint in 5.8 seconds. The underpinnings include a telescopic fork, dual shock absorbers, a 240mm disc at the front for all variants except the base (which gets 130mm drum brakes at both ends) and a 130mm drum at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.
In terms of features, the TVS Raider 125 gets a colour LCD console or a TFT screen (available only on the top-variant) with Bluetooth connectivity, mileage indicator, gear position indicator, speedometer, odometer, tripmeters, fuel gauge, clock, and more. The TFT console in the SX variant additionally offers smartphone connectivity with call/SMS alerts, sports and weather updates, and turn-by-turn navigation with voice assist. It also has a small compartment under the seat, with a USB port to charge your phone. Other notable features include a silent starter, start-stop system, and side-stand indicator with engine cut-off function.
