Our Mission
The mission of the Branch of Tribal Climate Resilience is to support climate preparedness and resilience for all Federally-recognized Tribal Nations and Alaska Native villages through technical and financial assistance, access to scientific resources and educational opportunities.
Who We Serve
The Branch of Tribal Climate Resilience (TCR) partners with Tribal Nations and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) agencies to incorporate climate considerations into their programs and policies by providing funding, training, technical assistance and organizational support.
Tribes can leverage TCR programs to further support their existing operations, program planning, project design, as well as Indigenous and Traditional Knowledges into their management and protection of Trust resources and Tribal economies.

About the Branch of Tribal Climate Resilience
The Branch of Tribal Climate Resilience is part of the BIA Central Office located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with regional staffing and contacts in all 12 BIA regions.
Since 2011, TCR has provided technical and financial support to Tribes and Tribal organizations and funded over 280 tribal adaptation plans, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments. In total, TCR has distributed over 900 awards totaling more than $119 million.
