#IAmBDABar

Bringing [Dis]Ability to the Bar (BDABar) is a group run by and for disabled aspiring barristers. We are working to dismantle barriers affecting disabled aspiring barristers & improve accessibility at the Bar through research, education, mentorships & more!

  • This organisation is so important in continuing to destigmatise disability, supporting those wanting to join the Bar, and as a community for barristers and aspiring barristers with disabilities.

Holly Parker – Blogs Team Lead of BDABar

  • I see BDABar as a young and incredibly passionate organisation driven by individuals who are keen to promote accessibility and change at the Bar.

Oscar Minto, Researcher and IT Support for BDABar

  • [The event] has certainly removed a small amount of the burden from my day to day thoughts that my disabilities will prevent access to the Bar, I now just feel it's going to be slightly more difficult.

  • Whilst our mentors recognise the great task which we need to accomplish in accessing the profession, they have provided an objective ear and good advice.
