Co-founders of App My Community

We’re Rose and Joe Duemig, and we founded App My Community to help give campgrounds and RV resorts a better way to communicate directly with their guests. 

On our first RV trip as a family, we saw a kids’ train go by our campsite. We knew our own kids would love to ride it, so we went to the park store to buy tickets—but the store was closed. We also needed firewood, but realized we had to wait until the next day to purchase that as well. 

 

We both have a background in the hospitality industry, and this just didn’t make sense to us. There had to be a better way for campgrounds and resorts to keep their guests informed in real time on things like opening hours, events, and amenities.

On the drive home, we started to imagine an app that both campers and campground owners would love. Then Joe started coding.

And the rest is App My Community history. As we became avid campers, we saw more and more things that needed to be fixed and kept adding more features to the App My Community product.

Today, App My Community is used by more than 200 campgrounds and organizations across the U.S. and Canada. Our app enables you to automate messaging, communicate important information, and notify guests about activities and events happening around them.

Mary Margaret Butler, Business Development

Mary Margaret has a degree in public relations with a minor in hospitality. She enjoys being able to combine her desire for community development with organizations looking to increase engagement and growth.

Paul Bandstra, Business Development

Paul has been a full time RVer for over 2 years. He enjoys helping property owners and managers simplify their day-to-day operations with the use of technology. He loves all things outdoors, especially going fishing with his wife and three kids.

Glen Bowen, Business Development

Glen is a certified professional golf coach, inventor, former publisher, author, magazine writer, former trade show producer, scuba diver, motorcyclist, antiques collector, and veteran.

Diane Frantz, Onboarding Specialist/Consultant

With a background in hospitality, business, and community boards, Diane loves helping chambers and resorts with their app to make it valuable for their community of users.

Jenna Bandstra, Onboarding Specialist

As a full-time RVer, Jenna has traveled and visited over 300 campgrounds across the country. She’s a mom of three, healthcare worker, and lover of all things outdoors.

Trevor Frantz, Software Developer

Trevor is a software developer with a passion for learning. He enjoys reading philosophy, collecting vinyls, and playing video games.
