Guest User & Privacy

Guest User is designed to protect your information and enable you to choose what you share.

Privacy Icon

Guest User allows you to give temporary access of your Apple Vision Pro to others.

Activating Guest User

When activating Guest User, you can choose whether to allow access to opened apps only or all apps and data.

The guest user will be able to give an app permission to access data or resources such as the microphone, location, or photos. Settings changed or chosen by the guest, except for Accessibility settings, will persist after the Guest User session ends. If you have set a device passcode on the device, a guest user cannot use your Optic ID or Apple Pay, and does not have access to Wallet, Passwords, Persona, Privacy & Security Settings, Health Data Settings, or Apple Account Settings. Guests can view your data, including health data, stored in apps you share and their data may be saved in the apps you share.

Any personal data collected during the Guest User session will be associated with your account.

Using Apple Vision Pro as Guest User

To enable precise navigation, Apple Vision Pro takes measurements of your eyes and hands. These measurements do not leave the device, and Apple does not have access to them. They will be erased from the device when you end the Guest User session by tapping End Guest User or by removing or locking the device. You have the option to save your eye and hand measurements to the device so that you can use the device again without reenrolling.

There may be data collected about your use of the device and apps, depending on permissions set by the primary user. For example, if you browse the web in Safari or another browser application, the websites you visit may appear in the browser search history. Your data, including health data, may also be saved in the apps you use. You can review app-specific data and privacy information to learn about an app’s data collection practices. Any personal data collected by Apple will be associated with the primary user’s account.

At all times, information collected by Apple will be treated in accordance with Apple’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at www.apple.com/privacy
