Thanks for visiting the AGBI website. We pride ourselves on our transparency, so our policies are straightforward, clear and above board – as is everything else we do, with no hidden traps or opaque wording. If you want to understand exactly what data we collect and how we use it, please read our short Privacy Policy below. Your data On our site, you might choose to give us your name, email address and details about your job or business so that we can send you information or so you can register for newsletters, sign up for events or contribute to online communities that we manage. If you do, we’ll invite you to the events we organise or send you newsletters, thought-leadership content, articles and information regarding special reports that we think you’ll find interesting and relevant. In doing this, we’re collecting personal information from you. We use that information to tell you about the things you’ve asked us for, but also to contact you if we need any extra information about you, to ensure our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re still happy to hear from us. How we share data We’re more interested in helping our readers to build their businesses than we are in aggressively marketing things to them, so we don’t share, sell or trade email lists with anyone else. If you give us your details then you can be sure you’re only sharing them with us. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletters, content marketing and event invitation emails. We gather statistics about who opens and clicks on the emails we send, using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy policy here. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link which you’ll find at the bottom of all our emails. If you do this, you will stop receiving emails from us straight away. You can also email our customer data representative at data@agbi.com at any time to stop receiving emails. We also use other third-party providers such as, Google Analytics and Altis DXP, to give us a sense of how well our website is performing so that we can improve the experience for all visitors and make sure your customer journey is no longer than it needs to be. We do not use these service to serve you advertising or to track your behaviour on other websites. How we store data If all you’ve shared is your email address through our website, then your personal information is only stored in MailChimp (see above for their Privacy Policy). At AGBI, we also store information about clients old and new, as well as prospects, colleagues and other associates in a CRM system provided by Hubspot. This system is essentially a database that we use to organise contact information in a secure way and so that we can keep track of who we’re communicating with, when and what about. You can read the Hubspot privacy policy here. It’s important to our business that we know our clients and prospects well, and to do this we also keep a record of information that’s relevant such as job titles, the address of your place of work and the name of your company. Sometimes, people share these details with us directly and some we gather and store from sources in the public domain where people share their professional profiles such as LinkedIn. Every quarter we conduct a clean-up of the CRM system to double-check that all the information about people who have unsubscribed is deleted from our database. If nobody at AGBI has heard from you for two years we’ll automatically remove your details from it. Your rights You have the right to know what personal information we keep, and to amend or remove some or all of it whenever you like. Email our data representative at data@agbi.com if you want to enquire about or amend any personal information that you believe we may hold about you.
