Description

As technology changes and adapts, so does Adafruit, and speaking of adapting, this adapter has a 2.1mm barrel jack socket and a USB C plug - you could use this to power a USB C device from a common wall adapter.

USB C is the latest industry-standard connector for transmitting data and power. Like Lightning and MagSafe cables, USB C has no up or down orientation. Plug this adapter onto the end of a 2.1mm 5VDC barrel jack, and now it's a USB C however please be aware there's no protection circuit or Power Delivery negotiation, you really should only be using this with a 5V adapter but if you have the wrong polarity or voltage, you could damage your electronics!

Works great with any device that has a USB C port and does not require a USB Power Delivery chip, such as the Raspberry Pi 4. To match, you can use our 2A 5V wall power supplies
