    In the past Email Subscribers & Newsletters was really good. Nearly everything worked fine. Only that the Widget where flooded by Spammers was an issue (up to Version 3.5.18)

    The update to Version 4 offers the requested blacklist feature for spam registrations – but it is symply not working right now. Widget ist not working, sending mails without cron-job is not working…

    Sorry, at the moment Email Subscribers & Newsletters ist simply useless and as the downgrade not offers a simple spam protection, thats it… I moved to another plugin although I had used Email Subscribers & Newsletters since Version 2.9…

    In Email Subscribers Free we have taken care of the majority of security issues.
    But still, there could be a few ways that surpass our security measures.
    To combat that, you could try out Email Subscribers Premium which had the CAPTCHA feature.
    It helps achieve 100% security.

    No – it do not help… as you see the v4 is not working and v3 is without any spam protection feature in the free version. And sorry, I’m not willing to pay $20 a month for a spam protection as all other features from premium version are not relevant for me.

    I’ve moved to an other plugin that allows me to use at least the google captcha in the free version…
