I tried installing and configuring the plugin. Unfortunately I can’t redirect when someone tries to access the wp-login.php page and the wp-admin directory without being logged in (always 404 page not found) Can you help me? Greetings
URL redirect is not working. I created a redirect that points to index.php and saved it, it automatically saved as index-php. Can’t understand why it is saved like this?
Had the same issue on a new install, then found all other URLs were generating 404s. Checked and saw the .htaccess file with BEGIN WordPress etc was missing from the site root; copied this from another site and uploaded, all 404s including /logon/ were restored and 404s banished.
@cocomeros That’s the way the plugin works. If you’re not logged in, you’re redirected to 404 when you try to reach wp-login.php and wp-admin instead of your secret slug.
@tfrank77 It’s because of your permalinks settings. Go to Settings –> Permalinks in your WordPress admin.
@swamiprasanna You can’t set a php file with WPS Hide Login.
