I ultimately figured out what I needed re: the search button (combo of custom css and font-size setting) – tho. still want to be sure Blockbase theme is being supported.

Thanks for your interest in Blockbase. To answer your question – Blockbase is not actively developed and is not recommended as a starter theme any more.

If you’re looking for a solid starter theme, you might want to try Assembler (it’s available for download at the bottom of this page, or you can grab it directly from GitHub). Assembler is actively developed to be compatible with the latest Site Editor features, and pairs really well with the Create Block Theme plugin. Hope this helps!
