Hi, the latest plugin update has added the prominent ‘Please Setup Website Analytics to See Audience Insights’ notice to the desktop despite having Hide reports and dashboard widget set to disabled. There is no close button. Can you let us know how to remove this – thanks. We don’t need to connect here.

    Hi @degas,

    Thanks for reaching out.

If you’re seeing the “Please Setup Website Analytics to See Audience Insights” notice, it typically means MonsterInsights is not currently configured to insert your measurement ID into your WordPress site for you. As a result, no tracking is happening for your website.

Please go to Insights » Settings and re-authenticate MonsterInsights to your Google Analytics property. After successful authentication, the message will disappear.

In case it helps, here’s a guide you can follow: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/connect-google-analytics/

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks!

Thanks Michelle, that did it even though we’d previously updated this site’s tags to GA4 and the data was pulling through sucessfully. As we’d just updated this site to 8.17 earlier today I checked another site with the same MI setup; nothing in the dashboard until updating to 8.17 when the notice appeared. Well, at least we know!

    Hi @degas,

Ah, I see. I appreciate the details and have let our team know about it in case we start seeing a trend.

For now, I am glad to hear that re-authentication helped.

I’ll go ahead and mark this post as resolved, but if you’d like more help with using MonsterInsights Lite, please feel free to reach out.

    Thanks!
