Hello I receive the following error when activating the plugin:

MailPoet Error: Unable to connect to the database (the database is unable to open a file or folder), the connection is likely not configured correctly. Please read our Knowledge Base article for steps how to resolve it.

I have tried changing the wp-config file bit didn’t help.

I couldn’t find the location of the mysql.sock, I am on openlitespeed

It seems they might be some issues with OpenLiteSpeed and how they handle PHP (https://openlitespeed.org/kb/default-php-settings-for-openlitespeed/).

I would recommend you reach out to your host support and ask them for help regarding this. You can also share our doc https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/200-solving-database-connection-issues with them so they know exactly what you need.
