• I wish to add introductory notes atop the excerpts of blog post sections that display specific categories. Presenting some articles as Editors’ Choice is’ one example (mentioning the reason for choosing them). First of all, is this possible? Any suggestion (other than “Hire an expert) will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • The output of meta information in the blog listing would have to be added to the template of the theme. My recommendation would be to first ask the support of the theme you are using whether they offer an option for this: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/career-portfolio/

However, I also see that the Career Portfolio theme you are using is over 4 years old. I’m not sure whether anyone there will get in touch. You are also taking a risk, as the theme does not correspond to current technology. In addition to security problems, there could also be incompatibilities with WordPress or your hosting. The best way to solve this would be to use a different theme.

    Thanks a lot for replying.

I perfectly understand the caution in your note and I take it seriously. I can write an essay to say why this is the most aesthetically and structurally brilliant WP theme ever created. It’s one of the ealiest Elementor experiments, and in 2020 it was years ahead. And the theme has several features that lack in all WP themes (100s and 100s of them that I had tested in the last 5 years). It has survived the latests versions of WP and PHP, and is compatible with all the plugins I use — notably LiteCache. I have even successfully incorporated WP patterns into the theme — even on front page sections.

I hate to give up on this theme, and so I am eager to know which files of a theme are touched up usually to keep them updated — as per WP protocol. If an expert can handle it, I can think of hiring him/her. (If I had funds, I would have done my best to redeem this unique theme.) If an alternative inevitable, the only WP theme I can think of is Twenty Twenty-Three. And I am taking backups regularly.
