Finally I found an optimizer that does what it is supposed to do instead of messing everything up.

In free version plugin only works in 50 images per time. I spent 3 days trying to optimize images on my website mto test plugin. Result: no significant results, and it damaged several images on my website, which it was unable to compress, and the image was left blank, on dozens of pages, with no option to restore the original images. Now I will have to spend more days to fix the problems the plugin caused.

GOOD BUT Free users can only Bulk Smush 50 images at one time

GOOD TO ONLY REDUCE SIZE OF EXISTING IMAGES ON SERVER WITHOUT CREATING NEW FILES
I wanted to reduce images files size without creating new webp files.

I’ve seen noticeable speed improvements after installing this optimization plugin. The image compression and caching features work like a charm, and my page load times are significantly better. My only concern is that the advanced settings lack detailed documentation, more guides would be helpful for non-developers.

I’ve only been using this plugin for a few days, but it seems to do exactly what it promises and is very quick and easy to set up and use. stats in the media library are helpful.

It does make some images smaller but only a little bit. Also, it does not work with wbp files. When removing it produced an error.

This plugin works great for us. Compresses uploaded images without causing any upload delays. We had tried a few other image compression plugins, but they all caused upload time to double or quadruple.

The only problem we have is that if I turn on the Lazy-Load feature it totally messes with the image display and slider for product pages. We assume this is a incompatibility with our theme, so we will still give Smush 5 stars (but it would be great if they could fix it 🙂

Forget it. You can’t just buy the plugin, you have to have your site managed from WPMU DEV with an extra plugin dashboard.

After installing the Smush plugin, I have been able to forget about it even being there. The photos in my media library, once selected to load onto my site, show as being minimized already. I have had absolutely no issues with this plugin and will recommend it to others.
