This plugin, which hasn’t been updated for years no longer works with the most recent versions of Elementor from Version 3.26 upwards.

Hi!

On single pages that have the same header as the rest of the site, the switcher goes missing.

Unfortunately, the latest version 1.0.4 of this plugin is no longer compatible with Elementor 3.6.4 and WordPress 5.9.2. According to the feedback from Elementor support, the plugin does not adhere to the necessary innovations that have been given to the plugin developers for Elementor since 2019.

Here is the original text from the support “As part of this process, we notified third-party developers (since back in 2019) that we are planning to make specific changes to our code, allowing them to make the required changes to their code to support it. Unfortunately, it seems that not all plugins and themes made the required changes, thus making them incompatible with Elementor’s latest version.”

The error detail message is as follows:

hi, everytime i made update to elementor, (not the pro, with the pro is fine) your plugin is auto-disable, and stau like that until i activated again.

is not a big deal, but but it happens.

I tried to change the standard flag to custom images.

All plugins and wordpress is up to date.
I added the code to my functions.php in my child theme.

What iam doing wrong?

Missing function to adjust flag size.

I have Elementor multi language site with WPML

I create header on English and add “Language Switcher for Elementor”

But when I translated header on French whole “Language Switcher for Elementor” widget missing and I can’t add it, isn’t listed in Elementor widget

how do I hide the current language using the language switcher for elementor?

In WPML the order is German first then English. In the switcher it is wrong. Any Idea?

Thanks for this plugin so useful to make WPML a bit more friendly user.

I noticed few things missing compared to the screenshots on the plugin page and I don’t think it’s normal.
– Screenshot Backend 2: I only have 2 settings in the Style tab of the widget (Main menu and Language code) although I can see Country Flag, Native Name, Translated Name on the Screenshot 2.
– Demos 1 to 4 Screenshots: you always display a vertical separator between each language name. I don’t have this and I don’t how to make it.

Thanks for making this new plugin – great idea! 🙂

However, on activation I got an fatal error because of function is_plugin_active doesn’t exist. I commented out the lines in your plugin main file (around line 216) and all worked.

…this function is only available in wp-admin and only after the hook “admin_init” has fired.

Also when WPML and Elementore were already active I got error.

So would be great if you could fix this.

Another suggestion:
Would be nice if you could support other plugins that offer language switchers like Polylang, TranslatePress, MultlingualPress etc. Would make total sense 🙂 Thanks in advance!
