Welcome to G Band! G Band is a free application developed by Jiafu Zhang (hereinafter referred to as "G Band", "we","us","our service" or "our product").

This privacy policy elaborates on how we collect and use your personal information when you use our products and services, as well as the information control we provide you and the measures we take to protect information security.

Below is an overview of this privacy policy, aimed to help you grasp the key points of it quickly, and to understand how G Band collects, uses and stores your personal information and the rights you have. We use your information to help you improve your health and manage your smart wearable devices:

  4. Approximate location information: As the requirements of Android system, scan your nearby Bluetooth devices based on GPS.

  5. Accurate location information: Used to track your workout routes or provide real-time weather services.

  6. Album: Used to set photo as the watch face background.

  7. Mobile apps notifications information: Used to provide apps notifications push services as your requirements.

  8. IP address, browser type, application crash information: Used to provide technical support to solve product and service problems.

Who do we share your data with?

We do not actively share or transfer your personal information to third parties (except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or when necessary to protect users rights).

When you need us to share or transfer your personal information to a third party, we will directly obtain your consent or confirm that the third party has obtained your express consent to the above-mentioned behavior. Enabling these permissions means that you authorize us to collect and process this personal information when using related functions and services. We only call your system permissions when you use related functions. Disabling these permissions means that you withdraw these authorizations. We will no longer continue to collect and use your personal information, but we will not be able to provide you with the functions and services corresponding to these permissions. The decision to disable above authority will not affect the previous processing of personal information based on your authorization.

4. When do we collect and process this information?

We only collect and process the relevant information mentioned in "2. What information will we collect or process?" when you use specific functions or services. For instance:

  • When you create a G Band account, you need provide some account information. Your G Band account is a core component of products and services so that you can access and control your personal data.

  • When you use G Band, some personal data is recorded in your G Band account. This is the case when you exercise, measure your heart rate, fill in fields in G Band, connect and sync products to G Band for certain optional features. All personal data we collect when you use G Band is stored in your G Band account. When you use anonymous mode, your personal data above is stored locally on your phone.

  • When you use our products and services, we do collect your personal data to help you monitor your health. Each product needs to collect and process specific personal data.

  • When you contact our support team, our team may temporarily obtain some personal data from your G Band account until the problem is solved.

5. How do we use your personal data?

Data collected through our products and services is processed for the following specific purposes. They may be used for different purposes at the same time.

Provide products and services

Personal data processed by G Band is stored in your G Band account (locally on your phone when you use anonymous mode) and can be accessed in the app. Your health data is anonymized, that is, it cannot be identified personally or associated with an account, and is used by Health Research team of G Band as raw data for research and analysis in the field of health to advance scientific research.

Using the data we collect, we are able to provide services to you and perform our terms of service contract with you. Personal data may appear as raw data (steps, weight, etc.) or as a result of certain data processing (heart rate, respiration, actions that reflect sleep patterns, etc.).

We also use your data to make inferences and show you more relevant content. Here are some examples:

  • Information such as your height, weight, gender and age allows us to improve the accuracy of your daily exercise and activity statistics, such as the number of calories burned and distance exercised.

  • Based on your sleep data, we can infer your sleep patterns and provide you with customized insights to help you sleep better.

By creating a G Band account, you can better use our products and services. Through this account, you can also manage your own content and preferences, as well as the measurement data collected by the product.

When you contact our support team with a problem you report, our team member may need to process your personal data to help you. Without your consent, they are not able to view your personal health data, such as your weight or heart rate.

We may use your anonymous personal data to improve our products and services, customer support, and to develop new services. 6. How does our product work and what technology does it use?

Our products work over wireless connections (Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G/4G/5G) to enable product configuration as well as transfer and sync data collected by your G Band account. Some functions are only available after connecting our product and G Band. Personal data collected by our product is stored in G Band after you sync the product with G Band. When you have logged into your G Band account and turned on data synchronization, personal data will be uploaded to your G Band account on the server. This synchronization is necessary in order to:

  • Update the product's software to fix bugs, add new features or apply changes necessary for the evolution of laws and regulations in the field of data;

  • Data backup. If your Android or Apple device which G Band is installed on is lost or stolen, you are able to restore all your data.

  • Measurements can be taken without having to be near your Android or Apple device where G Band is installed.

  • Share your data across multiple devices. You can get the latest measurements by logging into your G Band account on any device where G Band is installed.

Which third-party SDKs do we use?

In order to ensure the realization of some independent functions and enable you to use and enjoy more services and functions, we embed third-party SDKs in G Band, and we carefully evaluate the purpose of using these SDKs. How do we use cookies and web beacons?

We work with partners who provide us with analytics and advertising services. This includes helping us understand how users interact with the services, serving advertisements on our behalf across the Internet, and measuring the performance of those advertisements. For example, through your privacy settings, you can limit the visibility of your information to other users of the service. Through your notification settings, you can limit the notifications you receive from us. Access to third-party apps previously linked to G Band; use the G Band app to unlink devices from your account at any time. Delete account

You can log out/delete your account by opening the homepage, clicking on the personal center, clicking on the account, opening the account page, clicking on "Do not want to continue using", and opening the delete account page. You can delete your account on the delete account page

If you choose to delete your account, most of your information will be deleted immediately, but a small amount of information may be anonymized. For details, see "10. Notice: The operation of deleting account cannot be undone. If you have deleted your G Band account and want to use our products and services again, you only need to create a new account, but the personal information before deleting account cannot be retrieved.

If you have deleted your G Band account and want to use our products and services again, you can create a new account.

G Band's products and services are available to the general public. We recognize the importance of taking extra steps to protect the privacy of minors.
