CONGRESS ENDING ACP BENEFITS SPRING 2024

ACP Customers: ACTION REQUESTED

ACP Customers: Stay Connected with Affordable Service.

Beginning Spring 2024, the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) federal benefit offering will no longer receive funding from Congress and will be discontinued. Viya is offering exclusive service discounts in support of affordable connectivity. ACP customers should watch for communications from Viya that will provide further information about the program wind-down, discounts available to them on select service, and information about the federally subsidized Lifeline program for which they may also qualify.

Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) Wind-Down

Viya, the leading telecommunications provider serving the USVI, has always focused on providing our valued customers the best service at affordable prices. One of the most impactful ways we have helped to ensure cost is not a factor for connectivity has been by championing the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) benefit offered by the FCC.

Unfortunately, beginning April/May 2024, this federal benefit offering may no longer receive federal funding from Congress and is planned to be discontinued. Starting February 8, 2024, there will be no more enrollments into the ACP.

Our Commitment: While we await further information from Congress, and as a part of our commitment to ensure our valued customers utilizing this program remain connected, Viya will be developing a transition plan for these customers to a solution that addresses their affordable connectivity needs.

Keep Saving, Enroll with Lifeline

To retain the discounted rates offered to affected ACP customers, they must enroll with the Lifeline program. Lifeline is a Federally funded program that provides subscribers a discount on qualifying monthly telephone, broadband Internet, or bundled voice-broadband service from Viya.
