Agriculture

As the only Wisconsin Member on the House Committee on Agriculture, ensuring our farmers and agriculture workers are equipped to fuel, feed, and clothe the world is a top priority. We must set up an environment for our agriculture producers to have access to the resources they need and complete their jobs without unnecessary regulatory barriers.

Wisconsin is America’s Dairyland, and our farmers work incredibly hard to develop and distribute their products throughout the nation. I’m committed to making sure our dairy farmers are set up for success, which is why I introduced the Dairy Business Innovation Act to allocate additional dollars to the USDA Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives to support dairy businesses in the development, production, marketing, and distribution of their products.

We also must ensure families have access to nutritious foods by providing a variety of different milk options in K-12 public schools and revising government assistance programs like SNAP and WIC to include items like milk and hot foods such as rotisserie chickens and soups.

I will continue working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to promote domestic agriculture production and build food security around the globe.
