Explanation of Request: This project proposes replacing existing on-ramps with off-ramps with. This is the only portion of SH 144 that has not been updated.
DFW Airport Terminal D

Amount of Request: $5,000,000
Explanation of Request: Terminal D Smart Building Controls and Energy Efficiency Enhances, this project will increase energy efficiency and lower operating and maintenance cost for the airport.
DFW Airport Mobile Command Post

Explanation of Request: This is for a new Mobile Command Post used during natural disasters, terrorist attacks or other catastrophic failures.

Explanation of Request: DFW Airport two mobile bomb squad response vehicles. These vehicles would improve efficiency and effectiveness in communication between traffic control towers and first responders.

Explanation of Request: This funding would be used for road improvements and will improve safety along the corridor. This will include vertical alignment to improve sight distance drainage and better access to neighborhoods.
Bedford Road Low Water Crossing
Proposed Recipient: City of Colleyville

Amount of Request: $2,250,000
Explanation of Request: The project's intent is to promote vehicle, cyclist, and pedestrian safety and transportation alternatives by widening the existing vehicular roadway and establishing a safe crossing for cyclists and pedestrians across Little Bear Creek.

West Pipeline Road Project
Proposed Recipient: City of Euless

Amount of Request: $1,000,000
Explanation of Request: The project scope includes the removal and replacement of of approximately 6,450 centerline linear feet of existing asphalt roadway with concrete pavement on West Pipeline Road between Arwine Court and Raider Drive in Euless, TX. This roadway is the common boarder between the cities of Euless and Bedford. The project includes utility improvements to municipal water and sewer, franchise gas, phone and cable. The project includes ADA related improvements to sidewalks, driveway crossings and intersections. The reconstructed street section will maintain the same width and lane configuration as is current. The new concrete streets will increase safety, reduce maintenance costs, provide an improved riding surface. The project is a joint project between the cities of Euless and Bedford.
Alta Vista Water Line Road Project
Proposed Recipient: City of Keller

Amount of Request: $5,000,000
Explanation of Request: The funding would be used for the Alta Vista Drinking water line replacement. The project is an appropriate use of taxpayer funds because both the city of Keller, and city of Southlake believe providing quality drinking water is a core function of local government and a critical service to our rapidly growing communities. The line to be replaced is nearly 40 years old and is tasked with deliver over 2.5 billon gallons per year to serve 77,800 compared to 7,500 when built. The project has a federal nexus because the funding provided is for purposed authorized by Section 1452 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 42 U.S.C. 300j-12
