Ready and Resilient
The U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training's Ready Resilient (R2) Program is responsible for ensuring the compliance of R2 standards across the Initial Military Training enterprise. This program assesses population needs and addresses systemic issues that impact readiness through Staff Assistance Visits and vital communication with key leaders while ensuring compliance of R2 standards. The Drill Sergeant (DS) Resiliency Program is also a very important part of the readiness effort. TRADOC Regulation 350-16, Appendix D, directs that Brigade Commanders establish a flexible cadre/DS resiliency program. Ultimately, the goal of R2 is to assist in the facilitation of positive change through leader engagement, understanding issues through quality analysis, and through the application of proven programs.
