Name: Steven
Where are you from? I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I am at college in New York City right now.
Where are you headed? I hope to live in NYC for much of my life, being a photographer amongst other things.
In a nutshell, who are you? I am a college student who is very passionate about all forms of art and wants to be a part of almost all of them.
What do you do beyond deviantArt? I am a camp counselor in the summer, I've recently grown a new love of reading, and trying to manage a personal website.
What are some little-known or random facts about you? I used to do track and field and my longest long jump was 18'2". I probably could have gotten better but I had to quit.
Art galleries you submit to: A lot...photography, digital art, poetry, prose, vector art. I think that's it for now, but I'm sure I'll venture into others later.

What motivates or inspires you? It sounds a little lame, but trying to be creative motivates me. Seeing other people's creative works helps to inspire my creativity as well.
How did you get started with the type of art(s) that you do? I took a photography course in high school, and in that class we did photomanipulation as well. I got into that
Who are your favourite artists or inspirations in this area? by far my favorite and most influential deviant is incredi . You guys REALLY need to check her out. Her photography is truly incredible.
How did you find out about deviantArt? I found out through a friend in high school.
Are you involved in any clubs or projects in the community? If so, which ones and why? I am part of the Nikonist group because I have a Nikon. I was/am part of some poetry groups, I have to figure out which ones, but so I can have my poetry read and read some other good poetry.
Do you know any of the deviants on dA outside of the site? I know a few. Most of them go or went to my high school.
What are your music habits? Right now I am utterly addicted to Muse! I absolutely love them. I like pretty much every type of music though I don't like rap and country so much, and I really don't like heavy metal. I am pretty much open to everything else.
TV? I don't watch TV, but when I do it's Discovery Channel. I love Mythbusters, How it's made, and Dirty Jobs
Movies? There will be Blood!!!! No Country for Old Men, Across the Universe, that's all I can think of right now.
Say you're in charge of dA for a day. What would you do? I would make everybody try a doing some type of art that they've never done before. You gain much more respect for the rest of the community that way, and may even learn to love it!
Is there anything you'd change? I wish the literature writers were much more respected and noticed on dA. That's what *mode-de-vie and I are trying to do right now. Trying to get them more credit.

April list notes accepted through 30 April--get in while you can!
Sorry to have left you hanging with that last journal! I had some computer troubles and couldn't get around to the big announcement as soon as I had planned.
But never fear! I've got a keyboard and a monitor again, so we are in business to go totally random.
This is what we've been thinking around here:
The Ultimate Random Deviant Project is beautiful because it's something that only gets better as it gets bigger. That is to say, it becomes stronger and more amazing as more and more people get in on it.
So of course it follows that we should be working as hard as we can to get as many people as possible in on the madness.
This is where the Random Recruitment Extravaganza comes in.
What we're asking you to do:
Hit random deviant. [We love that link.] It's really just that easy. And when dA delivers you to a random profile, leave a little note on their front page inviting them to join us here.
Sample note:
We'd love it if you'd repeat the process at least 10 times, but do it as many or as few times as you like. When you're finished, comment here and let us know: one of you will be randomly selected for a special feature in our journal!
