Train of Thoughts

Train of Thoughts is a project in which artists inspire each other. One artist creates a photo manipulation, the next artist will make an artwork inspired by it, and so forth! Eventually it will be a wonderful collection of interconnected works of art.

Inspiration can be anything, therefore you are free in how to be inspired. You can use one of the same stock photo's as the previous artist, make a different artwork based on the same idea or continue the train of thought and philosophize further about the thoughts of the previous artist. The only requirement to the inspiration, is that you describe it in your artist comments.

There is no final date to the project. Because the train of thoughts can theoretically be continued indefinitely. This is not a contest, not competitive, it is just to have fun! Your skill level is not all that important, the thought behind your artwork is the most important thing. All the artworks in the project must however be as original as possible, to suit the ideas of this group.

To start off the project, I made an artwork which will be the first inspiration.



From here on, it's up to you. Leave a comment to this journal entry if you want to take part, and you'll be assigned a number on the list! Artworks will be made in order of who comes first on the list. First come, first serve.

A few rules are in place:

All the general group rules apply (fav.me/db8owf5)
You have seven days to finish your artwork, starting when the artist before you has uploaded their work. You will be notified of this. If you don't finish within given time, the next artist will be notified. Finishing as soon as possible is encouraged.
Leave a comment for your spot on the list! You can take part several times! (If a lot of people want to participate, first-time participants will be placed further up the list.)
You must describe your inspirations in the artists' comments. Be original!
At least three different stock images should be used. Stock credits are required. Your artwork should be at least 500 x 500 px.

A fun new project to create some interaction in Unusual-Manips.
Introducing pre-made title

The idea is that each person gets a pre-made title from the next person. The title you're given, should be the topic/inspiration for your photo manipulation.

Example:

DinowCookie said "Give me a title!"
  Participant 1 replied with "Withering rose"
     Participant 2 replied with "Storm"

DinowCookie will make an artwork titled "Withering rose"
Participant 1 will make an artwork titled "Storm"
Particpant 2 has to await the next reply

This should be great fun

The project will be running for two months meaning you can comment for a title until October 9th.
Below I will keep a list of all participants and the titles they're given to prevent confusion.
This project is non-competitive and there are no prizes involved. It's just for everyone to have fun making art together.

Rules

Reply to the person before you to give them a title. Think of something cool! (Comment here: comments.deviantart.com/1/6978…)
Make a photo manipulation based on the title given by the person after you.

Mention the project in your artworks' description.
At least three different stock images should be used. Stock credits are required. Your artwork should be at least 500 x 500 px.
Artwork must be newly made for this project.
Upload your finished work(s) to the projects folder: unusual-manips.deviantart.com/…

You can participate as often as you want within given two months, but don't comment for a new title until after you've finished your previous title.
All artists are encouraged to finish their artwork at most one month after October 9th.
I will hide any non-title comments to prevent the thread from clogging.

Hello everyone!

This is a short message asking for an additional staff member for Unusual-Manips. Specifically someone who will help me, DinowCookie, with accepting or denying submissions.
