Blake Harrison

Blake Harrison is most famous for playing the lanky, dim-witted sixth former Neil Sutherland on the British teen comedy series "The Inbetweeners." Born in Peckham in south London, Harrison got the acting bug early and attended the BRIT School, the only state-funded performing arts high school in the United Kingdom, and then moved on to the East 15 Acting School, which is part of the University of Essex. After appearances on stage and in short films, Harrison had his first significant role with a two-episode run on the crime show "The Bill" in 2008. Later that year, he was cast as Neil in E4's "The Inbetweeners," about a group of high school students obsessed with typical teenage concerns: sex, booze and being cool. Thanks to sharp scripts and the rapport between Harrison and his three co-stars, Simon Thomas, James Bird and Joe Buckley, the show became a surprise hit, running for three seasons and then spawning a spin-off movie, creatively titled "The Inbetweeners Movie," which broke the record for a comedy film at the British box office when it was released in 2011. Harrison is known to U.S. audiences for the David Cross sitcom "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret," in which he plays Todd's lone employee, Dave. In addition to guest spots on the BBC sitcoms "White Van Man" and "Him & Her," Harrison had a major role in the 2010 comedy movie "Reuniting the Rubins," in which he was billed third, below Timothy Spall and Rhona Mitra.
