Pooch Hall

Pooch Hall

Arguably best known for his role on The CW/BET athletic drama "The Game," actor Pooch Hall began his career as a promising boxer while still at high school in Massachusetts. It was only while he attended college, as a member of the UMass Dartmouth Theatre Company, that young Hall decided to eschew Golden Gloves (which he had won in 1994) and pursue Golden Globes as an actor. His first film role was in the 2001 crime drama "Lift," and he followed with parts in "Blue Hill Avenue," "Beacon Hill," and guest spots on the procedural dramas "The Division" and "Without a Trace." After the '04 film "Black Cloud," Hall appeared on the miniseries "Miracle's Boys," turned up in a guest role on NBC's "Heist," and had a stint on The WB's short-lived "Pepper Dennis," starring Rebecca Romijn. Then, in '06, came the role of football player Derwin Davis on "The Game," and Hall was suddenly one of the hottest rising stars on television. He appeared in rapper Snoop Dogg's thriller feature "Hood of Horror," the comedy "Blind Dating," and the TV movies "Courtroom K" and "Xtra Credit." In 2009, Hall assumed the role of Ryan on the CBS sitcom "Accidentally on Purpose," and, during the following year, he appeared in Rob Hardy's "Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming."
