Joshua Malina
Born in New York City, Joshua Malina found theater at an early age and attended the prestigious drama school at Yale University. Upon graduation he made his way to Broadway and landed a lead role in a play from newcomer Aaron Sorkin called "A Few Good Men." Malina's first screen role was a small part in the filmed version of "A Few Good Men" (1992) starring Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson. Malina continued to work in film and television, with supporting roles in "In the Line of Fire" (1993) and "Malice" (1993) among others. In 1995, Malina appeared in "The American President" (1995), also scripted by Sorkin, this time starring Michael Douglas and Annette Bening. The collaborations with Sorkin would continue throughout his career, including many of Malina's most significant parts. Although he still performed parts on "From the Earth to the Moon" (HBO, 1998) and "The Larry Sanders Show" (HBO, 1992-98) Malina's first series regular role didn't come until "Sports Night" (ABC, 1998-2000). Created by Sorkin, the show followed the behind the scenes world of a sports news show. Malina also came aboard Sorkin's "The West Wing" (NBC, 1999-2006) as a series regular beginning during the show's fourth season. Once the West Wing concluded, Malina continued to be in high demand. He was a series regular on "Big Shots" (ABC, 2007-08), and had a recurring role on "In Plain Sight"(USA, 2008-2012) while continuing to play a number of supporting roles in both film and TV. In 2012, Malina debuted as a series regular on the hit show "Scandal" (ABC, 2012-), playing a US Attorney.
