Disney Dining Plans at Walt Disney World

Disney Dining Plans offer a pre-paid way to purchase a set of meal credits to use during your Walt Disney World Resort stay.

What You Should Know

1
Peace of Mind
Meals are paid for ahead of time, providing an "easy" or mostly "all-inclusive" experience that allows guests to understand their food expenses in advance and worry less about price while on vacation.
2
88% Would Do It Again
People like the Dining Plans. Most guests we've surveyed would pay to do it again, and many don't want to travel without one.
3
Won't Save Money
Disney Dining Plans are not cheap, and most people we’ve talked to say that at best you break even financially with them.
4
Tips Not included
Tips (gratuities) are not prepaid as part of a Disney Dining Plan. Expect to leave a tip at each table-service meal.
What is it?

Disney offers pre-paid dining plans to accompany stays at its hotels. Basically, guests pay a fixed amount in exchange for a collection of meal "credits" to use during their stay.

To add a Disney Dining Plan to a stay, guests must purchase a travel package (hotel room plus tickets), have an Annual Pass, or be a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member staying on points. Rooms with Dining Plans must be booked directly with Disney or an authorized Disney travel agent (not through an online reseller).

Disney offers two dining plans: the "standard" Disney Dining Plan and the Quick-Service Dining Plan.

Who Can Buy a Disney Dining Plan?

Disney Dining Plans are available only to guests staying on Disney World property at Disney-operated resort hotel. (See the full list.)

You may NOT purchase a Disney Dining Plan if you are staying off-property or at the Swan, Dolphin, Swan Reserve, the hotels of the Disney Springs Resort Area, the Four Seasons, or Shades of Green. Disney does not operate these hotels.

What do you get?
How much does it cost?

Here's what you get with the different Disney Dining Plans:

Disney Dining Plan

Includes:

  • 1 Table-Service Meal per night
  • 1 Quick-Service Meal per night
  • 1 Snack per night
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per stay

2024 Price:

  • Per Adult (Ages 10+): $94.28 per night
  • Per Child (Ages 3-9): $29.69 per night
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan

Includes:

  • 2 Quick-Service Meals per night
  • 1 Snack per night
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Drink Mug per stay

2024 Price:

  • Per Adult (Ages 10+): $57.01 per night
  • Per Child (Ages 3-9): $23.83 per night

Prices and credits shown are per-night of your hotel stay. Prices include tax. Children under age 3 don't get their own meals but can eat free from an adult's plate.

For example, let's say you purchase the "standard" Disney Dining Plan for a trip where you’re checking-in for a four-day, three-night stay. Since your stay includes three hotel nights, you'll get three quick-service meals, three table-service meals, and three snacks for each member of your party. All meal credits (also called "entitlements") are pooled in a group associated with your room's guests. Meal entitlements can be used by anyone in your group at any time during your stay, and they expire around 11:59 p.m. on the date you check-out.

What's in a meal?
Table-Service Meals
Entrée or complete combo meal, plus drink; includes dessert, except at breakfast
Quick-Service Meals
Entrée or combo meal, plus drink
Alcoholic or Specialty Drink
One per meal, alcohol for ages 21+
Refillable Drink Mug
One per person per stay, filled only at Disney Resort Hotels
If you’re dining at a buffet (or other "all-you-care-to-eat" meal), your Dining Plan meal includes the buffet and a beverage. Beverage choices at meals might include soda, coffee, or tea; one milkshake, smoothie, or specialty hot chocolate; or, for guests age 21 and older, one beer, glass of wine, or cocktail.
Oh, and snacks!

Snacks abound at Disney World! Although numerous choices are available (including international options at EPCOT festival booths) across property, common snacks include:

  • Frozen ice cream novelty, ice pop, or fruit bar
  • Popcorn
  • 12-ounce coffee, hot chocolate, or hot tea
  • Prepackaged container of milk or juice
  • Piece of whole fruit
  • Bag of snacks
  • 20-ounce bottle of soda or Dasani water
  • 32-ounce "large" fountain soft drink

Look for the Disney Dining Plan logo on menus to see which items are available for a snack credit.

Soft-serve treats at Magic Kingdom
Some Meals Cost Double!

You'll pay two table-service credits (instead of one) at Disney’s top-of-the-line "signature" meals, dinner shows, regular room service, and in-room pizza delivery. (See the full list.)

Consider the Following

  • Everyone staying in the same resort room must participate in the same Disney Dining Plan.
  • If you have a 5-night hotel booking with a Disney Dining Plan, you will get exactly 5 nights of dining entitlements. There is no option for fewer (or more) meal credits to suit your needs.
  • Unused meal entitlements are gone forever after 11:59 p.m. on your checkout date.
  • Children ages 3-9 must order from the kids’ menu, if available. (This rule is occasionally relaxed at Disney’s quick-service restaurants.)
  • If Disney offers a "free dining" promotion, it might not be the best value for your group compared to other available discounts. A good travel agent can help you evaluate your options and book a vacation.
  • Our blog can help answer a critical question: Should you buy the Disney Dining Plan?
