We actively work with volunteer groups from the local communities. We are dedicated to improving public access, enabling more individuals to immerse themselves in nature. Our team regularly organise planting events of wildflowers and trees for volunteers across our sites. Our goal is to create opportunities for citizen science, wildlife monitoring and transform our land into an inclusive outdoor classroom for a wide range of individuals.

Swarthghyll is our 345.5ha estate in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Our Locations

Our dedicated team are currently engaged in conservation efforts across various sites in Scotland and northern England, restoring ecosystems such as ancient woodland, peatlands, meadows, wetlands, and heathland. Through a blend of environmental expertise and hands-on experience, we manage twelve unique locations where we create and restore native woodlands and diverse habitats.

Glenaros Estate

A trailblazing 809ha historic estate on the Isle of Mull changing the way we think about how we can restore land and help nature thrive. Our vision is to oversee this breathtaking historic property abundant with wildlife, demonstrating how historic estates can contribute to environmental conservation efforts and the fight against climate change.

Dumyat

An award-winning 480ha hillside estate providing high-impact nature restoration. Our vision is for visitors to have the opportunity to observe butterflies, bees, and birds flourishing in our wildflower-filled clearings. They can also explore various shady native woodlands before reaching the peak of Dumyat, where they can marvel at the breathtaking panoramic views.

Leadloch

Leadloch, our 155-hectare site located in the central belt of Scotland, features degraded peatland, improved grassland, fenland, and conifer shelter belts. We are planting primarily native trees to capture carbon at scale. alognside enhancing nature on the site through improving the condition of key wetland and grassland habitats. We are restoring degraded peatland by bringing together environmental science and in-the-field experience.
