World Car Free Day

World Car Free Day is on Sunday 22 September 2024. To celebrate, we're making it even easier and more affordable to travel sustainably.

Enjoy £10 off your first month of a monthly subscription:

• That's unlimited 60-minute journeys all month for £10 vs £20 - a 50% discount
• Use code CARFREEDAY24 in the Santander Cycles app or website

This promotion is available to anyone who does not already have a monthly or annual subscription. It must be redeemed between 00:00 on 13 September and 23:59 on 23 September 2024.

Your initial month will cost £10, followed by £20 a month after that. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time.

Additional charges apply for e-bikes and any cycles not docked back within 60 minutes.

Students

Students aged 18 or over can save 25% on the cost of our annual subscription.

• Get unlimited 60-minute rides for £90. That's £30 less than the usual price and equivalent to travelling for 25p a day
• Redeem the discount via Student Beans
• Additional charges apply to e-bikes and any cycles not docked within 60 minutes

You'll receive an email with your code which you can use on the Santander Cycles app or member website when you buy an annual subscription.

Graduates

Graduates qualify for a 25% discount on the £120 annual subscription through Grad Beans.

• If you've graduated within the last 5 years you can get unlimited 60-minute journeys for £90
• Simply verify your graduate status (it's free) with Grad Beans to get your discount code
• Additional charges apply to e-bikes and any cycles not docked within 60 minutes

If you hold any of these cards or discounts you're entitled to a 50% discount on monthly (£20) or annual (£120) Santander Cycles subscriptions:

• 60+ London Oyster Card
• Veterans Oyster photocard
• Bus & Tram Discount
• Jobcentre Plus Travel Discount

Both subscriptions offer unlimited 60-minute rides for as long as they last. Claim your discount by:

• Filling out the Santander Cycles contact form with your 12-digit Oyster or Freedom Pass card number (from the back of the card)
• Submitting photos of the front and back of your Freedom Pass (if you have a Freedom Pass)
• Asking for EITHER a monthly or annual Cycle Hire membership promo code

Cycle to work

If you're using a Santander Cycle to get to work, you can save 30-47% on the cost of our £120 annual subscription and spread the cost over 12 months with our cycle to work partners CycleSaver or Cyclescheme.

Your employer will need to sign up so you can benefit from this tax-free annual subscription.

NHS workers

We support NHS employees to cycle by offering a 50% discount on our annual subscription. That's a year of unlimited 60-minute rides for £60.

Just use your NHS email to contact enquiries@santandercycles.tfl.gov.uk. You'll be sent a promo code as soon as your request has been validated.

Section 106 Cycle Hire memberships

To receive a quote for Santander Cycles Memberships following a Section 106 request or find out more information, complete our Santander Cycles contact form with the following information:

• Planning application reference number
• Number of developments
• Duration of agreement
• Company name
• Trading name
• Registered address
• Trading/billing address
• Company Registration Number
• Accounts Payable contact name
• Email address for Accounts Office
• Phone number for Accounts Office
• Alternative contact name, email address and phone number

Scrappage scheme

Successful applicants to our vehicle scrappage scheme can get 25% off a Santander Cycles annual subscription - this offers unlimited 60-minute rides for a year. (Although the scrappage scheme itself is now closed to new applicants, the support offers are still available.)
