The mission of the Dental Assisting Program is to provide specialized classroom instruction and practical experience in preparation for employment in a dental office.
Students will perform limited clinical duties under the direction of a dentist. Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures. May perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
In preparation for protection against possible disease transmission, training for infection control in dentistry is required

In addition to regular admission requirements, applicant must:
Take the HESI Exam
Furnish the school with two (2) work references or character references. (Relatives are not considered acceptable references.)
Submit the following required documents within the designated time frame:
High school and /or college transcript
Two letters of reference
Evidence of a recent physical examination by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner
Writing sample
Resume of work history
