Upgrade to Windows 10 or Windows 11

After upgrading to Windows 10 or Windows 11, download and install the latest version of a Kaspersky application, and then update the anti-virus databases.

"License not found" error
After upgrading to Windows 10 or 11, the license might be removed from your Kaspersky application. To fix this issue, restart the computer and activate the application once again.
The application has been removed from the computer
After upgrading to Windows 10 or 11, your Kaspersky application may disappear from your computer. It means the application version was incompatible. To install the application again, do the following:
- Download the kavremover tool for Kaspersky applications.
- Remove all remaining application files using the tool. For instructions, see this article.
- If the tool detects several applications, remove them one by one, rebooting the computer each time.
- Download the latest version of the application from the Kaspersky website.

Installation error "Installation files are corrupted”
If you encounter this error after upgrading your operating system, do the following:
- Delete the files from the folder C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab Setup Files. To do so:
- Press +R on the keyboard.
- Enter C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab Setup Files.
- Click OK.
- Delete the contents of the folder.
- Download the latest version of the application from the Kaspersky website.
