Mac Pro (2023) Battery

Before You Begin

Remove the following part before you begin:

Tools

  • Nylon probe (black stick)

Removal

  1. Use the black stick to lift the spring clip on the battery socket.

  2. Insert the black stick behind the battery to remove it from the socket.

Reassembly

Warning

Install only a BR1632A battery. There is a risk of explosion if the battery is installed incorrectly or replaced with an incorrect type of battery. Dispose of used batteries according to local environmental laws and guidelines.

  1. Ensure that the battery socket is free of debris.

  2. Insert the battery under the spring clip. Then press the battery into the battery socket.
