Use the Finder to transfer Pages documents
You can use the Finder to transfer documents between devices. This method is useful for transferring documents when you aren’t using iCloud.
You can also transfer Microsoft Word documents this way, then open them in Pages.
Transfer documents from your computer with the Finder
Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer (with macOS Catalina installed), then open the Finder.
After a moment, the device appears in the Finder window sidebar.
Select the device in the sidebar, then choose Files in the main window below the device information.
Drag the document file you want to move to the Pages folder.
The document appears below Pages in the Finder window.
Click Sync, then wait for the sync to complete.
Tap the Files app on the Home screen, tap Browse at the bottom of the screen, then tap On My iPhone or On My iPad.
To open the document on your device, tap the Pages folder, then tap the document thumbnail.
