Import media using Home Sharing in Music on Mac
You can use Home Sharing to import items from up to five media libraries on other computers. To use Home Sharing, you must have an Apple ID.
Any time you download an item from Apple Music or the iTunes Store to a computer in your Home Sharing network, you can have the item download automatically to the other computers in the network as well.
Import items from other libraries using Home Sharing
On the Mac you want to import from, turn on Home Sharing and open the Music app .
On the Mac you’re importing to, make sure Home Sharing is on, open the Music app , click the arrow next to Library, then choose a shared library.
Click the Show pop-up menu at the bottom of the Music window, then choose “Items not in my library.”
Select the items you want to import, then click Import.
Automatically import new iTunes Store purchases from another computer
In the Music app on your Mac, click the arrow next to Library, then choose a shared library.
Click Settings at the bottom of the window.
Select the types of content you want to automatically import, then click OK.
If a shared computer doesn’t appear when Home Sharing is on, turn Home Sharing off on both computers, then turn it on again.
