Delete songs and other items in Music on Mac
In Music on Mac, delete songs, playlists, folders, and other content. You can remove the items from your library or from your computer.
In the Music app
on your Mac, click Songs in the sidebar on the left.Select the item you want to delete, then press the Delete key.
Click Delete [item].
Do one of the following:
Remove the item only from your library: Click Keep File.
Delete the item from your computer: Click Move to Trash. The item is removed the next time you empty the Trash.
If you delete an item from a playlist, the item remains in your music library and on your computer.
If you delete a playlist or folder, the songs in the playlist or folder remain in your library and on your computer.
If you delete a folder, all the playlists and folders inside that folder are deleted. See Intro to playlists.
If you access your music library on multiple devices, songs you delete from your library are still available, so you can play or download them any time.
