Change Advanced preferences in Music on Mac
In the Music app on your Mac, use the Advanced pane in Music preferences to automatically download album artwork, control MiniPlayer and video playback windows and more.
To change these preferences, choose Music > Preferences, then click Advanced.

Add songs to Library when adding to playlists | When this tick box is selected, songs from Apple Music that you add to a playlist are also added to your music library. Unselect to add Apple Music songs to playlists without adding them to your library. Note: This option appears if you’re signed in as a subscriber to Apple Music or iTunes Match and you turned on Sync Library in General preferences. | ||||||||||
Automatically update artwork | Automatically download artists’ images, album covers and related artwork for music in your library. | ||||||||||
Forget All Remotes | If you used the iTunes Remote app to pair an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with a specific media library, select this option to disconnect all devices from that media library. | ||||||||||
Reset all dialogue warnings | If you select “Do not show this message again” in one or more dialogues (small windows with messages in them), clicking “Reset warnings” makes the messages appear again. | ||||||||||
Reset Music Store cache | Music saves the store pages you visit on your computer in a temporary location called the cache. If you return later, Music can retrieve the page from the cache faster than getting it from the internet. If the content on a page seems outdated, you can reset the cache to retrieve the latest version. If you think a page isn’t opening properly, resetting the cache may help. | ||||||||||
Keep miniplayer on top of all other windows | Keep MiniPlayer in front of all open windows, even while you use applications other than Music. | ||||||||||
Keep video playback on top of all other windows | When playing a video in a separate window, keep the window in front of all open windows, even while you use applications other than Music. |
