How to add items to iTunes on Mac
You can add your music, video and other items to iTunes. After you add content, you can organise it, watch and listen to it, add it to mobile devices, share it with other people, burn CDs and more.
There are several ways to add content:
Play and download unlimited songs and videos with Apple Music.
Buy, download or rent music, video, podcasts and more, from the iTunes Store.
Import audio from CDs.
Download music and video from iCloud.
Import music and video that are already on your computer.
Import items from other iTunes libraries on your local network using Home Sharing.
Transfer iTunes Store purchases from a mobile device.
Import songs and podcasts from the Internet.
Add items from other apps using the Automatically Add to iTunes folder.
By default, when you add items to iTunes, the files for the items are placed in this folder:
Home/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media
